A labour of love

And here it is, in all it's glory...

4 Months creativity, all come together. It's been a long road...

...a long, but incredibly enjoyable one!

The finished masterpiece measures 150x150cm.

I know I'm going to treasure this forever.

My children have followed my Granny blanket journey with innocent curiosity.

The amount of times they've asked ..."is it done yet Mummy"?

When I finally answered ..."Yes it is", I don't know who was more excited -me or them!

One of many snuggles I'm sure.

Now for the "Oscar" worthy speech:

Thanks to...
  • Deanne for opening my eyes to the world of Crochet.
  • Kathy  for patiently teaching me the treble stitch!
  • Deramores for stocking such lovely yarn and shipping at great rates!
  • My husband for allowing me to go on and on about it for long enough.
  • My kids for modelling the balls of wool so elegantly here and here.
  • These 3 simple tools ...
It's been such fun, repetitive creativity full of intrigue. I hope you have enjoyed the anticipation as much as I have.

As ever, thanks so much for your visit -it means so much. I'll be back to blogging on our return from sun, sea and lots of sand...perhapps a cocktail or 2 or ...

    Take good care of yourselves.

    Katie x

Your blankie is just fabulous Katie - so lovely to see it finished. It's such a great feeling when you finally get it finished isn't it. Well worth the time spent in creating it though and I'm sure you and your family will treasure it for years to come.
