I'm not quite sure how it happened, I don't know if I breathed, tripped or what...but my niece will very soon be turning 12! 12, I still remember being 12 and longing to turn 13!
Here is the card I made for her...
She's a very out going 12 year old, loves her mobile/make-up and boys *gasp* (I know 12!). So I knew she probably wouldn't appreciate anything too cute and frilly! Hence the monochrome look. The butterfly I made by folding mulberry paper, using ribbon for detail. The gorgeous image is from the stunning "Polly Pickleberry" CD Rom by Willow designs (thanks Sharon). The alphabet is Waltzing Mouse -Victorian Alphabet, what I'd do without this set I do not know!
Recipe: Polly Pickleberry digi image, Waltzing Mouse -Victorian Alphabet stamps, Papermania Scalloped edge card, Kraft/White/Black Cardstock, Mulberry/ribbon, Adhesive Gems, Memento-Tuxedo Black ink.
My commissions are coming along nicely, so I hope to catch up with you all soon. Til then ...

Fabulous card - I'm sure she'll love it.
Know what you mean about the time flying - my surrogate grandson will be NINE at the weekend and it hardly seems five minutes since he was just starting school and it surely can't have been five whole years before that when he was born! Where DOES the time go?
Happy Thursday

great card for a 12 year old- captured perfectly the right tone. Would never have thought of just using the image in b&w but it soo works. Love the b&w with kraft combo
